Macerator pumps

We have a FloJet that we use at home if we have dry camped since there is no place around us to dump. Works great. Highly recommended.

THEY DO make a great ice crusher.

If I remember correctly, Wayne also uses his to make some tasty maguritas for noisey or unwelcome camp neighbors. Oh hi Wayne!

I am not sure about what your attempting to do with your waste but as for the the pumps themselves I would buy the flojet, I have the sanicon and the customer support is terrible from . My pump has broken the bolts that hold it on to the motor three times ,the first time under year old and they would not help replace the bolts with me making the repairs and they said they had no replacement parts,I found my own supplier of replacement parts to make the repairs so if I buy another one it will be a flojet.

I have the seaflo from Amazon. I put an end on it with a cig lighter type plug that matches the jack I put in my 5er.
for outlet I went to Tractor supply and found a plastic fitting that matches garden hose, and a short piece of 1" clear hose, 2 clamps.

I use it all the time.
I first empty black tank.
Turn pump off (which stops any flow)
leave black valve open, and open gray valve. This allows water to back flow into black tank (you can hear it moving).
Shut off gray valve, and turn pump on.
I keep doing this until I am out of gray water.

I use a (brown) 5/8" garden hose. just make sure you always coil it up correct so the hose don't get kinks in it.
My first pump went bad after 3 years. front sealed bearing went bad (still works, but leaks). First pump is a different brand, but looks exactly like the sea flo. tempted to buy the new bearing plate (bearing is staked into plate) and put it on my old pump as a spare.

I seldom use my stinky slinky, but still take it camping. The Macerator is not bullet proof, and can fail, so the stinky slinky can still do the job. I have been using mine since about 2006, and it has failed about 4 times. I have discovered if you run about a table spoon of oil (cooking, motor oil, transmission fluid, or ...) after each use you will reduce if not eliminate failures. There is a screw on the bottom of the pump that can be turned with a screwdriver. Turn it the wrong direction, and you will destroy the rubber/buna impeller. It typically cost $40 to $50. I made this mistake two times.

May not be a good idea. Some folks might take exception to it and the fines could get pretty ugly.

You can build your own, but I question the savings after buying the necessary parts. A Macerator designed for RV use is very simple and turn key. You should read up on how to "legally" dispose of waste. I think a better solution would be a composting toilet if you don't want to use a cistern or septic system.

You can also build your own Macerator Pump.

I trashed the stinky slinky years ago and went to a macerator. easy/clean/convenient and I don't pour stuff on my shoes like I did with the SS.
