The "difference" is that the RoadTrip, like most portable grills, is designed to work at tank pressure - i.e. 80 p.s.i. to as much as 200 p.s.i. That quick disconnect fitting to which the OP wants to connect this grill is LOW pressure - i.e. 11" water column or about 0.5 p.s.i. Obviously this won't work, the solution being to remove the grill's regulator so the low pressure you're feeding it via that quick disconnect fitting is being fed directly to the low pressure burner within the grill. Whether that's practical with a RoadTrip I can't say as I've never owned one but it's a very doable and popular mod with any Weber Q series gas grill. Personally I don't bother as I find it just as easy to feed my Weber Q120 with a stand alone 5 lb tank and my Coleman two burner stove with 16.4 oz canisters ... sometimes the K.I.S.S. method is the best method. :W
