I like the suggestion of put it under a table. Or anything else you already have available. Especially if one rarely uses the generator, why have something extra to carry around such as beach umbrella or similar. If one has a fifth wheel is there a problem with putting under the pin area other than the noise?
Ours is a Champion 3400 watt inverter and the sound is barrable. I opted for a pull start model rather than an electric start to reduce weight. I can lift it into the back seat of a car if necessary. So I've not bothered to come up with a way to secure it when not in use. I just stow it away. Granted, we just bought it and I'm always looking for ideas.
