Installing a tub in an OUtlaw 3611??

Need a tub in our 2012 Outlaw 3611.
I'm trying to gauge the difficulty in doing this.
Has anyone done this?

According to the Thor layout, the shower size is 36 x 24.
Would I just drop a 36 x 24 tub into the present shower, while retaining the whole present shower surround and drain?

What about the front part of the tub that faces the shower door.... Do I need to put in some support or panel to cover this area?

Would I cut the present shower surround to the tub height, then caulk the tub edges, or should I just rip out the entire shower and start all over?

Thanks.
  • The RV tubs I've seen have tall walls where the door is so support isn't an issue.
The bigger problem is having enough hot water to be able to put more than a few inches in the tub.
We have a tub but it's not really usable with our 6 gallon Wh.

If you do this please post some pics. I think a lot of use would enjoy seeing your progress!

Good points by you and TeachersPet -- the amount of water needed.
Yes, good idea to put in one of those instant hot water heaters -- takes juice though.
OR, could install a back up 10Gal propane h20 heater, huh.
