Installing stabilizer quick release brackets

Because our driveway is so steep we need to remove the tongue jack and rear stabilizers every time we go into or out of our driveway (even after lifting th trailer). We did this by removing and installing all the bolts twice each trip which got old real fast.

Once I saw the SaveAjack brackets I had to have them. To install them you just need to remove the stabilizers then install a bracket on the trailer and the stabilizer. Once in place it's just a matter of pulling 2 pins and sliding the stabilizer off.

Check out our video showing our install and how they work. The install was quick, easy and has made taking our trailer out much easier.

  • I was going to move them forward, but we have a rear slide and end up with a lot of weight past the bumper when setup. I wanted to keep our stabilizers set back to the rear because of that. Even after the lift and 2x10's at the entrance of the driveway our bumper clears by

It looks like a great mod. Also it sounds like you stabilizers were mounted to close to the ends of you RV. Look at page 3 of mounting instructions. I moved ours to the correct location (mounted to far back from MFG.)and now no clearance problems.

  • Thanks for checking it out. I wish I didn't need these, but because of our driveway it was a great upgrade.
