The two main reasons for going to the SeeLevel gauges is because they do use sensors on the outside of the tanks which keeps them from getting coated with TP or other items and they read in smaller increments. I believe most OEM gauges only read in 1/4 tank increments whereas the SeeLevel gauges read in much smaller increments. I don't have my literature available, but I think it's in 5% increments?
Why is it important to always have the gauge level showing? A MH isn't that big and you must go past the gauges 20 - 50 times a day - so press the button once in a while.
