Power consumption is a consideration but we only camp at full hookup CGs. Our display is in our bathroom and in an awkward spot to view and push the buttons.
I've just relocated light, slide out & awning switches to the upper cabinet beside our entry door and that would be a great spot for the tank display. I was thinking of mounting our remote EMS display there too. A battery voltage display would be nice there too but it could get too busy looking.
