Once I quit trying to use the self tapping bolts that came with it and bought a 1/2" tap it was pretty easy. Since I have an enclosed underbelly and could not tell where metal was in the rear, I installed a 2" sq tube across the rear to mount the JTs. Worked very well. Front was no problem.

I used a tripod the first year. Not even close to what the JTs will do.
