Picking out options for our new fiver. Going with the 6 point auto level system. We told the salesman we also wanted there jt strong arm stabilizers. He told us we don't need them with the leveling system. True or false? Usually they want to sell you everything they can. Thanks.

False ! We have the 6 point auto level system on a 38 ft, toy hauler .And it rocks so much when anybody walks around my daughter says she get motion sick.

On my old trailer I had the JT system with a front landing gear and rear stabilizers. It definitely helped, but there was still bouncing from the tires being part of the system. On my new trailer I have the 6 point leveling with no JT system. It is more stable than the old trailer, mostly because the tires are (mostly) out of the support system when parked. There is some movement and the JT system may help in the front, but you'd have trouble mounting it in the back. I don't feel I need it with this setup.

I agree it is false. We have a 4 point auto leveling on our 30' trailer and fine movement when someone is in the bedroom or bath. The living/kitchen area is pretty solid. I put x chocks between the tires which only helped slightly. When we traded trailers I kept my old stabilizers which I'll be installing on this one.

Your salesman doesn't know what he's talking about! We have the leveling system but the JT Strongarms are worth their weight in gold in keeping the trailer solid.

We have the 4 point Big Foot plus front JTs and rear stabilizing jacks. I think that combo works really well. Our rear Big Foots are right behind the rear tires and that still leaves lots of RV that would have had no support.

I am also curious. I thought the whole reason for getting the 6pt system was to keep it stable. If the rear stabs are not down then how does it work?

You'll notice a difference. Recently put Steadyfast (same as JTs) on my 5er and its night/day. Leveling systems don't triangulate to the frame like the JTs do. THIS triangulation is what stops all the sway.

Do a You Tube search, they're the best for stabilization. Tell your sales guy you want the JT's, "it's YOUR money, now put 'em on"! You won't regret it....

i've never even tightened the strong arms on our camper. will hopefully be going out this weekend for our final trip of the season. will have to give them a shot and see what they can do.
