- kregliExplorerNot hard, the instructions a pretty clear. You may have to adjust based on your trailer and it does require drilling through metal.
As to needing the back ones...how much does your trailer rock and role? You could install the fronts and try it for a trip before doing the back. - zackyboy3rsExplorerWhen in bed (at front) I feel like I am in a boat in the ocean.
- RoyBExplorer III got one of these KING PIN tripod stablizers for my 5th wheel which really helped..
Got it from a local RV supplier...
Roy Ken - BB_TXNomadOnce I quit trying to use the self tapping bolts that came with it and bought a 1/2" tap it was pretty easy. Since I have an enclosed underbelly and could not tell where metal was in the rear, I installed a 2" sq tube across the rear to mount the JTs. Worked very well. Front was no problem.
This is a picture of the rear.
I used a tripod the first year. Not even close to what the JTs will do. - csamayfield55xExplorerFront were a piece of cake. Rears required a special bracket that dropped the pads of the feet dow a couple of inches and would have caused problems. Never installed the rear ones and the inlaws were happy. Oh yeah, they are on my in laws trailer
