I dunno about fishing any wire, was hoping to avoid that:R
As for signal, I plan to get it from the campers' built in CD / radio. My wife found a Bluetooth transmitter that plugs in to the player / radio. To my amazement it transmits THRU the aluminum. I woulda guessed no. The transmitter also uses a rechargeable battery so, stuck w/ that, I guess. I also can use a Kindle as a source.
More I think about it, I will usually want to sit under the awning and having the speaker overhead is not ideal. Better to set it off, facing the camper I guess. Like I said, I guess I need to experiment with a standalone for a while.
Charger rant: Why ain't these things more standardized? We got two phones, a weather radio, the BT transmitter, the Kindle and who knows what's next. No two of 'em can use any one charger (where is that head bangin smiley?).
