outdoor speakers

my out door speakers are shot and the grills are broken thus it looks like heck. I don't use the out door speakers so lets just concentrate on the grills. how do I measure to buy grills and where do I look for speaker grills and grills alone.

  • They should hang the guy who invented outdoor speakers . In some parks there are twenty of them going on twenty different stations .
  • What size are the grills? I have a pair of 6.5"'ers sitting on a shelf gathering dust. They're yours for the asking. Mine are black.

IIRC, they may be a tad bigger than average 6.5" because they are for a Euro speaker.

Here's one that comes with a rim and three holes drilled: MCM grill

If you don't use them could you replace them with something like a large light. I've got a large round LED light that really lights up the area well and may be larger diameter than the speakers.

Now THAT's a GREAT idea! I love it! Turn on your radio or television and the outside lights come on! Sweet! Love it! :B

  • Here is what I have. Yours might be different. They are available from NTP (or whatever their name is now). Most RV places on west coast uses NTP. Mine are NTP number 24-6049. Around $50.00 each. Don't know if you can buy just grills? Worth a call at link below.
If you can get just grills, please post.

  • I just asked my RV service location to replace the outside speaker covers when I took it in and had other service work done. The covers were white. The RV service place called me and said they could only get black color which was fine with me. I remember stopping at another RV sales location previously and they were not interested in helping so if you have a service location that normally does service work for you it probably helps. You might have to call around to different RV service locations. If you know the brand of the speakers and size it probably helps.
