How well have your LED awning lights held up? For those that have them installed on the awning roller tube. I installed some in April, stuck them to the tube so they were under the flap that hangs off the front. Worked great that trip. Next trip I saw some color differences the first night, and the second night lost some of the red. Last trip, in July, they went out one color at a time. I pulled them off and tossed them in a box. I think they went bad do to moisture of the awning rolled up. The whole strip faded to a hazy white. They claim to be waterproof but those didn't work. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I try a different brand or just a different location?
I had mine installed the same way on my previous TT. I always stored the TT inside a garage, and if we got any rain while camping, which was extremely rare, I'd open the awning in the garage as soon as we got home to let it dry out. Anyway, after a few trips, mine too began losing a few colors and after a year the light strip was yellowing. I don't think it had anything at all to do with moisture, I just chalked it up to cheap Chinese LED lights.
