LED strip on awning roller didn't last 4 months

How well have your LED awning lights held up? For those that have them installed on the awning roller tube. I installed some in April, stuck them to the tube so they were under the flap that hangs off...

Been lucky so far. I did the multi-color waterproof LED strip on the awning roller bar. Has lasted 18 months without issue, no failed LEDs etc. 3-Season usage area, RV hibernates in winter.

Only complaint is that I have the IR remote and positioning of the little sensor on the white control box is very fussy.
