LED strip on awning roller didn't last 4 months

How well have your LED awning lights held up? For those that have them installed on the awning roller tube. I installed some in April, stuck them to the tube so they were under the flap that hangs off...

We have yellow, bug light, I guess, in our roller tube. Powered off porch light plug.
The tube will probably hold about 8 of them but I don't know where to find any more of them.
Waterproof and trouble free.
