Do you own a hack saw? That and a file are all I used to make on ordinary low cost KwickSet assembly work on my bathroom 1-1/4" door. Just take a little off the half-round shaft to make it fit. On a locking set, there'll be an inner lock rod as well, that may also need trimming.
