- Tango__AE7UIExplorerI have them on all 3 vents on the fifth.
They stay open all the time driving and even in winter storage and snow.
Keeps fresh air in the rig and never a leak.
Also protects the CHEAP vent covers that came with the trailer.
The UV rays are brutal on them! - db7512ExplorerMy fantastic fan is reversible, thermostat control and has a rain sensor.
- Dusty_RExplorerWe put on a Maxair on our new '03 Itasca that was about 175* elbow with a fan in the out word end. The fan was a reversable 3 speed with a t-stat.
That was a nice unit.
Last year we bought a new mh and I went to get another Maxair unit like the last one, and found that they were no longer available. Very disappointed, We still want one.
Dusty - db7512ExplorerI like the extra protection and leaving the vents open with out worry about rain. I checked on line and found great price on mine along with a fantastic fan.
- SCVJeffExplorerGot two on the Fantastic Fans. Didn't like the profile on the roof, but when at the beach it keeps excessive humidity off the screens, and I can leave the vents open in storage with no fear of rain intrusion.
- SinteriorExplorerI have similar covers and agree on all the positives mentioned plus one that saved us a lot of potential damage.
We left our fiver in an RV lot we have over 3 hours away from home, one day a violent thunder/hail storm shattered and flooded some of the RV's without vent covers, not one with the covers had any damage.
After a few years UV rays make the factory vents very brittle.
To me that's cheap insurance. - FulltimersExplorerI will have to agree with everyone else. I should have installed them long ago. As stated, Keeps the rain out, protects the vent cover from UV damage, and I can leave the vent open in the wind without listening to the lid flapping, I even leave it open while traveling. Heck I just realized, I never close the lids anymore.
- kknowltonExplorer IIWe sure like them. Have them on our current rig and had them on our last one too. Love being able to leave the vents open, even in winter if the camper is covered!
- dave17352ExplorerLove them, have them on my TC and 5th wheel on all vents.
- nineoaks2004ExplorerWe have one on our only vent and is in the bathroom, It is nice to be able to leave it open in all kind of weather, I also installed a vortex fan in the vent
which really helps move the air outside.
