Keep seeing some RV's with Maxxair/Maxxair II vent covers. How well do they work? Reduced airflow? Rain or water leaks? Installation issues? Thanks in advance.

I have them on our 96 Southwind. I think they do a good job, never had any leaking problems.If there is less airflow, it's very minimal. They protect the vent covers from damage.I'll put them on any RV I may get in the future.

I have a knockoff brand on all 3 of my vents. Love them. No problems at all. Really nice to leave the vents open when raining.

I have had one version or the other of them on all 4 of mine. The cheap plastic vent covers last a lot longer with these protecting them from the elements plus you can leave a vent open and not have rain come in.Will put them on the next one we get too.

I have not seen the need. Left mine off when I installed the Fantastic Fan.Open vent during rain is the only benefit that I know of.

They came on my last motorhome, and I had them installed on my new one. Very helpful in that you don't really have to worry about rain, and shield the vent covers from uv rays. They are easy to install and don't cost much.

I thought I'd save a few bucks and bought the Camcos'. Junk! Thin plastic that the sun ate them up. Cracked at the mounting points and lost two of them on the road. Have Maxxair now. Much thicker material.

They do not screw into the roof, there is a bolt that gets drilled horizontally into the frame of the existing vent. They work great.

Just get the Maxx Air 2 just pull the pin and it swings open to clean the vent cover.

Times two - that's what I have as well. Being able to open and clean out is very handy.

Plus they look cooler than just the standard vent cover. We have them on our three vents.

i wish I would have saved the money for the rain sensor and went with a max air cover in the first place
