My Rogue Wave install...

Hi All,

I installed my Rogue Wave a few weekends ago. A relatively easy install.

I mounted it to the TV antennae, and passed the ethernet cable across the roof securing it with a cable stay with sticky tape and goop of sealant over it...

I ran a new Pos 12V line from the fridge relay,

passed through the fridge to the furnace area,

thru that area into the kitchen cabinet underside, then a rigged a shelf hat sits in a dead space over a drawer. I tied the Neg wire to a batch of common lines.

I wired in a switch, ran both the ethernet power and the router power to the 12v switch...

I paid the little extra for the refurb net gear router... works good. Seeing that there is hardly a concern for exceeding 54mb/s in a park wifi (LOL!!! :) ). it sits on a cut up old cutting board, and is held by my wife's hair band!!! Boom! Makes it easy should i have to grab it.

and its hidden from view!!!

It fires right up... access the access point via wifi, connect to park wifi signal of choice.... boom. A solid connection. We were at mission bay in san diego a few weekends ago.. wow. I had over 75 hotspots to choose from, many unsecured. I hit a starbucks 3/4mile away... it was really cool. Very pleased.

If you get stumped setting it up, I'll try to help.

One more thing. This was not listed in the documentation anywhere.

If you can't connect to the web after completing the setup procedure.

    Try this...
Under the Network Tab, then the section WAN Network Settings there is a NAT Enable checkbox. Make sure you have 'checked' that box. I could not get to the web until I checked that box.
  • I really just mounted it, routed power... Plugged into the router.... Once my phone/laptop/iPad is on my personal network... I use a bookmark to the antenna ... Select the network. Use the password if provided.. Done... No drama... None

Installed and used at several different RV parks. Works really well and allows all our devices to talk to "the net" at the samr time...

    Thanks 67Cutlass
