old carpet out, new carpet in
Old carpet was 26 years old, flattened down to nothing, was a solid color that showed every piece of lint. Found a 8x9 foot, nice thick remnant for 30 dollars that shows no dirt!

Hardest part was getting the old stuff (carpet, padding, and MANY staples} out! Made a paper pattern with a roll of heavy brown paper I found at walmart.
