old carpet out, new carpet in
Old carpet was 26 years old, flattened down to nothing, was a solid color that showed every piece of lint. Found a 8x9 foot, nice thick remnant for 30 dollars that shows no dirt!

I need to do that this weekend I was going to just cut it out and wondering how I would attach the new one up to the edges. Thinking quarter round etc. Because I was NOT going to take anything out to do it!
Did you just snug it up to the cabinets and staple it?
yes, I cut it even to the edges and used a brad driver to secure the edges where needed. With the brad driver it was easy to move the carpet fibers aside so I didn't pull any fibers down and make pucker marks.
