Old carpet was 26 years old, flattened down to nothing, was a solid color that showed every piece of lint. Found a 8x9 foot, nice thick remnant for 30 dollars that shows no dirt!

The only promblem I see you having is it will wrinkle up on you,Not being stretched . especially if your in different seasons hot/cold.
Brad nails won't hold up long.
