old carpet out, new carpet in
Old carpet was 26 years old, flattened down to nothing, was a solid color that showed every piece of lint. Found a 8x9 foot, nice thick remnant for 30 dollars that shows no dirt!

Brad nails won't hold up long.
But it looks like you did a good job.Just hope for the best .
Actually, the brads hold very well. Tested them on the old carpet before I ripped it out. Worst case scenario, I pull it back and glue it down.
