Ordering Carefree window awnings....

On our last coach, it did not come with any window awnings and I ordered and installed some on all the major side windows. With our new coach, it has awnings on only the windows that are not under the patio awning and I would like to fix that as there are times I would like to have awning on those windows too with out rolling out the patio awning.

So, looking for a good source as I gave all info regarding the older coach to the new owner and I can't remember (getting old...) where I purchased them from

Went to Carefree of Colorado web site, and they don't sell to the public and gave a big list of dealerships of which I have no experience with.

Any recommendations?

thanks

Ron
  • Thanks for the suggestions.

Yes, I do plan on installing myself as I have done it on my previous coach. I can't go with another company (A&E) due to the fact that I'd never be able to match my existing awnings....so Carefree is my only option.

Checked with American and could only find parts and accessories... nothing on complete awnings.

Checked with Shadepro and the smallest awning was 3'. Two of the windows I want to put awnings over are only 16"...other two are 4'.

I had a lot of difficulty figuring out exactly what I needed on the PPL site...just too confusing.

I have gone to Carefree's website, and I know exactly the part numbers I need to order. I'll probably have to get on the phone to order these things regardless of where i purchase them.

    Thanks again

    Hi. A & E is Dometic.

We have decided to get A & E window awnings instead of the Carefree, whos quality has declined considerably in the last few years. Least expensive place I found for A & E is AmericanRVcompany.com.
They have every brand though and offer free shipping. Camping World wanted $170 for shipping 2 window awnings. I don't know if you are planning on installing them yourself, but it is pretty easy to do. Good luck.

I looked at the AmericanRVcompany.com web site and only found Carefree and Dometic Window awnings. Could you give me a link to the A & E awnings.

    Thanks.

  • Here is the company I bought my Carefree window awnings from......www.shadepro.net

I was camping at the Thousand Trails campground in Acton, CA one weekend......they sent a guy to the campground to measure my windows on Saturday......and then the most amazing part.......he came back on Sunday to deliver my new awnings.......

I elected to install them myself but the guy offered some pointers and advice......

Could not have been happier with this outfit......
  • that leaves you with camping world or PPL motors in texas. there are a lot of rv accessory places on the web that will give you quotes and just look on line for them.
