First I'll say if I didn't get such a great buy on it I probably wouldn't have bought it, they are expensive for sewer hoses. As another poster said it does stretch out to a full 20' and snaps easily back to a compact position. Extensions are available too if you need to make it longer as well. This uses a cam lock vs a bayonet style but an adapter is available to bring it back to a bayonet if needed. This is I will say the best hose I ever had, better than anything you will find at a rv store.
Not saying I won't run into it but I've never NEEDED more that 20' of sewer hose before. 75% its state parks with no sewer anyway. This past weekend we stayed where the sewer was out of reach of my old sewer hose where we were set up. I just dumped before we left when I was hooked up and backed up 10' There are work arounds
This system is simply just a superior sewer hose that doesn't need to be disconnected.
