This I would agree with wholeheartedly - avoid any containers with sloped sides as that will just waste space. Personally I avoid using any containers as much as possible and have but one shallow tray in my front passthrough storage compartment for holding smaller incidental items such as chocks, etc. However, our previous KZ Spree not only had a large front passthrough storage compartment but also a large cargo storage area under the rear bunk bed that was accessed by a huge cargo door on the rear wall of the trailer. In this case, because access was so easy, I did use a couple of collapsible plastic boxes similar to these for holding spare power cables, hoses, adapters, etc and they were particularly efficient because the sides were perfectly square and made the most of the space available.
