"Rabbit ear" wing nuts for battery posts: odd, but it works

Hmmmm, my current battery which I'm replacing in the spring has wing nuts and truthfully I can't say I've ever considered them to be an issue. However, if for you they are wouldn't it just be simpler to use nuts and snug 'em up with a socket wrench? :h
