NM Driver nailed it -- I'm semi-retired, and I'd rather work on the trailer than on my "real" work. Soon to be really retired!
A wing nut driver is nice, but you then have to go get your drill motor -- these rabbit things are for when I am camping (and usually boondocking). The drill is packed away in the truck.
An ordinary hex nut is way too slow.
And yes, the posts are pretty long -- maybe an inch and a half?? (Not sure -- I am at "work" right now and can't go measure.)
The idea here is just like the "spinner" hub nuts they use on race cars -- get it spinning and it goes off and on fast. A regular wing nut usually won't spin like that, unless it is very heavy, no matter how clean the posts are.
But as I said, unless you do a lot of battery swapping in cold or wet weather (which I do), the time saved by this device is trivial.
