Bob, not every day. I use the first battery for a couple of days, or maybe three -- till it gets down to 12.2 volts. Then I use the second one and recharge the first. The trailer usually sits in the shade. The solar panel is in the sun. I bring the discharged battery to the panel.
Other than running the generator, I don't see any other way of getting the job done! It works just fine for me. But when the weather is (for example) sunny but very cold (as it often is in the Sierras in midwinter), or wet (as it often is in the Pacific Northwest), I am hoping to accelerate the process by using my funny-looking wing nuts.
