Refrigerator modifications

Just curious to see if anyone has attempted this.

Taken a 12 volt dc inverter to 120 volts ac to operate the fridge while traveling. That way you do not have to operate on propane.
  • I agree JJ. A small cooler for soda and water so we keep the fridge doors closed until we stop.
  • Don't know how far you plan on travelling in one day, but we turn our refrigerator off when going down the road. Off it is a giant 'ice chest' and we've never had a problem with any freezer stuff thawing or the inside of the refrigerator getting warm. Have been on the road up to 10 hours and no ill effects. Just our opinion on doing things. It is a waste of propane to run it while moving down the road.
