I'll just give you "my" reasons I decided to stay with the day/night shades. For you to think about before you rip your day/night shades out!:W
I prefer the day/night shades simply based on what they can do that drapes or blinds can not do.
While I was waiting for my day/night shade to be repaired what I did was buy an adjustable shower rod. It fit perfectly in the window. And then I just picked up room darkening drapes from the dollar store. So no one could see in at night.
Well after a week of that, made me a believer of the day/night shades.
With drapes you need the room darkening drapes for at night so no one can see it but during the day if you close them to keep the sun out you are now living in a dark cave. Open them and you are living in a fishbowl open for everyone to see in. The day/night shades offer you both options the drapes could not.
I also tried blinds on one window, which drove me crazy with their rattling when driving down the road. So bad, that I pulled over and ripped them out threw them in the garbage at a rest area somewhere in Georgia of I-75!!! :B
Just saying. I think day/night shades have their deserved place in an RV. :C
