Replacement of expensive under sink water filter
I have this metal water filter that clogs up about every 3 months and costs $38.00 to replace. I wanted go to home depot and plumb in a less expensive option. Anyone done this, and if yes how ?

A less expensive filter will simply let more junk through. You need to add another pre-filter (sediment) , as the common metal Everpure filters normally last a full year.
