REPLACING THE CARPET AND LINOLEUM TILE
I'm looking at removing the carpet in our M/H . I want to remover the old linoleum which is half tile squares and carpet. Does anyone have a good way of removing the linoleum tiles.

- First question that comes to mind is : do you really need to remove them ( vinyl tile that is )? Some types of floors can be installed over them. Carpet should be pretty easy.
Original question: Depends on the glue. Just try one and see how easy it is. Peel and stick may be easy. Glue down really depends on how they were installed. If really old be aware of potential asbestos issues. - They are peel and stick and I figured if not removed it would leave a line and be unlevel. We do not want carpet back in.
- Peel and stick should come up easily with a scraper and a heat gun.
What is under the carpet? - If you are putting in linoleum then yeah, you have to pull the tiles out. Slit the tiles and soak them with Goo Gone or Goof Off, they'll pull up easily.

These tiles float. They are easy to clean, cheap to replace and insulate the coach a little. They are 5/8" foam squares.
Montana - A heat gun and scraper will remove the tiles, but in my experience will also leave a sticky residue. If they're not very thick, and you're installing a floating floor, I'd go right over top of them.
