replumb for more pressure

i need to know what is needed in addition to new plumbing to bring internal pressure to 70+.
  • Hi All.

I can forsee right now in the near future, "Flooding Water" coming our of his RV. I 'll bet that you'll blow almost every fitting and O-Rings in you RV'S Water System.

It sure would be a funny thing to see. But boy, would you have to feel sorry for someone if they ever did something like that.

Good Luck. Happy Travels, Dan & Jill & Two Small "Yorkie Kids" who love to travel as much as we do.
  • You will have to replace all of the PEX connections in the RV. They probably won't take that pressure continually for an extended period. The PEX tubing, itself, probably will be OK. The cheap faucets/toilets also are suspect, and should be replaced with units that will take that pressure.

    This is a non-trivial upgrade.
  • You'll need a higher pressure pump than the standard RV water pumps. You'll also need to repipe with PEX, using good clamps and fittings. If you have the cheap plastic valves throughout, those will need to be replaced if not rated for the higher pressure.

If this is a question about how to adapt to a shore connection that is 70 psi, the only thing you need is a pressure regulator.
  • Just wondering why...even stick and brick house pressure doesn't need to be that high and shouldn't.

Not saying you don't have a reason for 70psi water pressure, just wondering why?
  • 70+ what? Assuming PSI. Why the need for such high pressure? 40-50 is usually sufficient in an RV.
