The only 120V items are the AC, microwave and some of the outlets but the furnace will run on 12v whether you are plugged into shore power or not.

And mine is able to run all night with temps down around 45 or so without making the batteries completely flat. They have enough juice left to start the gen. but just barely.
It helps to have an extra blanket.
