RV A/C ceiling vent changes -- could use some tips

We have the problem with the bed room being hot and the bunk room being to cold so in a pinch so the kids would not get so cold I popped the grill off(6" round) and put a coffee filter on it and snapped it back in took a pencil and started poking holes in the filter until the right amount of air was coming through. It balanced out the camper quite well. It has been like that for about 6 years now!
