I have two sewer connections one by the basement storage and the other is around 16 feet away behind the tires, has anyone connected the two with abs pipe? I know I can get a wye setup and run two hoses but one connection would be easier and faster.

The problem is because there wasn't room to run the two drain pipes together due to frame, suspension, tanks etc. when building the rig.You CAN if you want just make sure there is enough clearance for suspension travel, ground clearance etc.Sometimes it's just easier to use the 'Y' connection.

My friend almost bought a trailer like that. The reason they didn't connect the two was pure laziness. My own trailer is a common rear-kitchen layout and I've found that lower end models of the same floor plan don't connect the kitchen's grey tank to the forward dump connection. But better built units do indeed connect them - as they did with mine. At any rate I think it would be a huge inconvenience to have to dump from two spots 10 or more feet apart and I would plumb the grey tank to the dump fitting if it were mine.

I have three valves and one is about 6 or 7 feet from the other two. I think I will put a valve from the galley tank closer to the other two so I don't have to crawl under the slide out. I think I will have to drop the under belly and cut the pipe and glue in a valve flange and the rest is history.

I have two connections. The front connection is Black #1 and Grays #1 and #2. The second connection is for the 1/2 bath, Black #2 by the rear steps about 20' away. I thought about connecting them with a pipe but getting around the axles and such I was concerned about clearance issues, appearance and proper drainage. My solution was to modify the length of hose at the CG connection (90 deg. elbow) to about 2', put my "y" and then run to the sewer connections on the trailer. Each run of hose is supported by sidewinders to drain properly. What I'd like to find is a "Y" elbow so it "y" right at the CG's sewer connection. I've seen a "Y" elbow that connects to the CG's sewer pipe at a CG but the owner was not around to ask. Have not found one online or in a store.

1/8 inch slope per 1 foot of travel meets the building code. My Apenlite has about that drop from the kitchen tank to the sewer connect. Mine has a 2 inch dump valve at the galley tank then runs to the sewer connection.

+Buy a couple of 3x2 Ts a 90 a 2 in valve & coupling and a section of 2 in pipe at Home Depot and some plumber strap to tie it up ! I used 1 1/2 which is a mistake ,Its slow but it work's fine. Cut your 2 3in pipes the one in the front points to the rear, The one in the rear I pointed down, this is where my low side is , I should have gone higher and solved it .I put a nipple on the rear then the 90 then the pipe heading to the front. Now i put the valve right by the other dump makes it handy then if your good you put a short section and a coupling into the front T. Now i didn't go this way and I'm not going into it but i bought a coupling at Home Depot that you slip on to the pipes where they come together and it makes up fore a slight miss calculation and tighten both ends that it made a pain in the --- a very easy job ! I tied the pipe up to the frame in 2 places, I have no camera for pictures sorry ! Jim

Our 2007 Surveyor has seperate tank valves. The Grey tank valve is only 8 inches from the Black tank valve, but the Black tank valve is 8 inches farther back under the side of the trailer. That is one of the few things I have ALWAYS hated about our trailer.I use a wye connector and two hoses.

This kinda makes sense to me. It would serve like a P trap. They always have a little left over and keep sewer gases from returning. It might be important to know exactly how much you have to go over to get back to the drain level.

I re-plumbed mine and a short section is running up hill !!! Now when that tank is full it pushes right by that up hill.Sure it levees a small amount in line but it worked very good at this time.Now i wish i had came up higher on the rear pipe it would have made a small difference !

one thing to remember is how much drop you need @ that distance. How low will it be when terminated?

If I really wanted to make it work I think I could by going inside the underbelly and running the pipe out to the other sewer connection, but with that and the pipe running close to the suspension I don't think its worth messing with.
