Oops -- I should have Googled it before I asked.
Looks like it is all external to the RV, and carries out its actions WHEN YOU ARE AT THE DUMP STATION.
I had the idea that this thing was mounted under the commode, and would turn on like a garbage disposal in a sink, while you're sitting there. (Might give you a trim at the same time, huh....:D:) )
