I had a sleep number in my 5th wheel for quite a while.
I placed the pump in the storage area under the bed and drilled hole at the head to rout hoses thru.
Loved it.
UNTIL.... I forgot to deflate a bit before going into elevation around Mammoth Mountain in Calif on 395.
It pressurized like a potato chip bag. When I stopped for a break, and noticed it, the pressure was so high, that the pump would not work to relieve pressure. Had to disconnect each hose to do so.
That night after re-inflating, I found that the over pressure had torn away inner lining and now one of the mattresses was just a big-ol balloon. :S
So, just be aware of your travel routes and make sure you deflate quite a bit before heading up those grades.
