Slide-Out Tray Support Roller System

Obviously this only pertains to those of us with with the slide-out tray. 4 1/2 years ago was my first experience.... and I was very disappointed. When loaded with our gear ( and we have “A Lot” of gear... the tray was “sagging” badly in the middle. So I devised this system to support the tray and allowing us to carry “too much” stuff.

As different systems probably have different measurements, I’ll only give the rough idea .
  • Determine where top of roller needs to be
Purchase rollers and angle iron to accomplish this
Pre drill angle iron for roller shaft and holes for bolt-down to bay floor.
Remove tray, mount your roller system, re-install tray

I put four rollers across bay, use your best judgement.

Great idea, where do you buy the rollers from?

Ron, We’re boondocking/elk hunting right now, and will be home in 4 or 5 days. We just did an Internet search and found them....but once home and “settled-in” We’ll get that info to you!

    Thanks

  • Great idea and nice work.
I did something similar to add rollers to the slide out of our last TT.
