These guys are right, SoundGuy. You make good contributions, but you do need to work on the delivery. On the internet, nobody can see your facial expressions or hear the inflection of your voice, making it easy to accidentally come across as a smarta$$.

I totally understand the principle now.

I stumble in my post with what's on my mind
an how I write it out, from time to time. You each took time
to respond and with that being said I'm used to that which is a little tacky but with good info peppered in. I recognize an I can sort it out

Maybe your common sense but certainly not mine :R ... probably the best way to torque your slide mechanism out of alignment. Slide supports are a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. :(

Back in the pre slide out days a few campers had what was called tip outs which was just what it sounds like, a portion of the side wall would be tipped out to increase the living space just like the slide outs of today. I think they needed a support under them.

Imagine putting a jack stand under your open car door to support the door and then hopping inside setting the car down an inch. This would put torque on the hinges that they aren't designed to handle and would do more damage than you're trying to prevent. Even the stabilizer jacks on each corner shouldn't be tightened more than a half turn past hard contact with the ground.

Make it X11 cause I do not agree with your response.
Until I actually had a trailer with slideouts I never even though about how they were supported.
Then and only then after having slideouts did I investigate HOW they were supported.

Common sense.....not necessarily.
Fact is a 'whole room' hanging out the side of a thin walled trailer common sense would suggest additional supports

First off I would like to say the only dumb question is one that wasn't asked. This forum has a lot of knowledgeable people so ask away. In regards to slid support I asked the dealer about them when I purchased my trailer. I was told if I used them it would void the warranty as they cause stress on the slide arms.
