Rob, I think you could peel them off with some effort, but it's gonna take the wallpaper with it.

On my stove the walls around the stove does not get any amount of heat and I have 3 walls in way of the stove. I don't have any concerns regarding the use of Smart Tiles there. I would have more concern with it behind the sink but I am confident that it will hold up well.

I am not convinced that putting plastic tiles directly behind my stove who give me the warm and fuzzy feeling I like. I know that the paper walls used in many coaches are not that great either, but heat and plastic just seems to leave me questioning how long this decorative update would last.
I have seen similar actual tile units that are glued and grouted which I would have no concerns over heat but I would have lots more concerns about my amateur abilities to install them.

The product sold at Lowes is not the same as the product sold through Home Depot. I do not know if it is better or worse but since all the success stories I read used the Home Depot ones and I do not have a Home Depot nearby, I ordered through their online service. They have a very wide selection online.

It is very thin. My sample is the "stainless steel look".
And measures about a 1/16" with my Calipers.

For those that aren't familiar with Smart Tiles, it's a plastic product that can be cut with scissors. Very nice option for an RV and nice work by the OP, looks fantastic.

I installed mine a year and a half ago and they look just as good today as the day I installed them. They have survived temps over 90 and over a month this winter below zero! Well worth the hundred bucks!

It is pricey. I got mine at Lowes for 44.00 per package of six. I used 4 packages. I had about 11' linear feet at 22" high.

This is a mod that I also might consider for the backsplash above the sink in our TT bathroom.

Sticks very well. Once you aplly any type of pressure, all bet are off. Some said they are repositionable. I say no.
