Sound barrier

A large problem we have when camping with the granddaughters is the snoring noises coming from Grandpa's room which keeps them awake. Part of the criteria when shopping for a new trailer was a solid door between the bedroom and living area. Most of what we saw had 3" gaps top and bottom which would be useless as a sound barrier. We ended up buying a trailer that had no accommodation in this regard.

I had one of those self inflating air mattresses with the foam inside that fit perfectly in the little hallway between the rooms. I glued and screwed a piece of wood with velcro on the ceiling which holds the top up and we jam the mattress into place at night. We crack the roof vent in the bathroom for ventilation. We take it down and stand it at the foot of the bed during the day. No more complaints about noise.
