Vinyl tile backsplash -- Not Smart Tiles???

I am thinking about adding a blacksplash made from FLOOR grade vinyl peel and stick tile.

I have looked at the paper thin "smart tiles" but do not like the selection. Has anyone use the regular floor vinyl tiles? Will they stay on the wall with the high summer heat in a RV travel trailer?

Don't know what is wrong with them being thin, - you won't have to walk on it - but I do not like the price of those tiles. Can't even understand why they are so expensive.
  • We did this DIY in our sticks & bricks kitchen. They wouldn't hold to the vertical surface for very long. Added some Gorilla Glue to the back and they held quite well. You might need to hold the tiles in place with some masking tape while the glue sets. Used "J-trim" molding to go around the outside edge of the tiles. Looks great!
  • I don't like the way they stick to a floor. Can't imagine they would work long term on a wall. But they might. Never tried it. JMO
  • We have a 24ft trailer and park in it alot!!! and the back splase I found some plexi glas to put behind the stove for that and against the fridge I found a nice piece if "made" wood for a cutting board /protector.
The plexi can be found in many places and is easy to clean too.
    Cheers
