It was installed when I bought the 5th wheel and operates off a small 120V inverter. Probably would not install one unless I was going to drink the water from the faucet.

Thanks for the link. We use UV as one source of water sanitation at work in some water recirculation systems. We are talking 8 and 10" pipe. I'm not objecting to using it in a camper, however I myself would go after a total system method to keep the entire system clean. UV is one pass sanitization. If the upstream bio load is way too high, it may not knock it out. If the lens is clouded, it gets that much worse.
Again, nothing against UV systems, they are chemical free and that is an advantage, however the rest of the camper needs to remain potable and clean too.
