Do you have a thermostat or do you just use a switch? A switch would be less "complicated" wouldn't it? Do you put phone numbers on speed dial or dial the number every time you make a call? Does your awning close automatically in high winds?
I'm sure it must seem "complicated" to you but it was childs play for me. It's just a switch. A smart one. It automatically turns the valve off and takes one thing off my plate.
I just thought I'd pass the idea on. You could have always quit reading and went and read the next post about toilet paper.
I knew it would go over some peoples head (no disrespect intended) but there are others that understand what I did and may use the concept to control other devices.
When we leave the RV, we're getting ready to ride motorcycles and getting all the gear and stuff together is enough to do.
At home, I can turn off all the lights in my house, set the alarm and adjust the thermostat to 68 every night just by telling Alexa "I'm going to bed". When I come home I just tell Alexa "I'm home" and the lights come on as I desire.
One day houses (and RV's) will not come with switches.
If you forget your "switch" and your RV floods, call me and I and make you one * so it doesn't happen again
* Fees may apply
PS: I haven't programed anything to get my shoes for me yet. I'm still doing it the old fashion way and having the dog "fetch" them.
LOL - Dont worry you are not over my head with your design. I just think its stupid and unnecessary that's all. So you traded in one potential problem for another - hitting your switch every 15 minutes. hey whatever floats your boat I guess. I'll stick with just flipping off the already built in switch like I have been doing.
