Where to store the wine?

Ok, I solved the problem. Just stay at RV parks near wineries and pick up what you need each day! Planning a trip to Solvang, Paso Robles, and Amador wine country areas in California in a couple months.

We used to store our wine in the "crate", but I got tired of pulling out numerous bottles to look at labels to find the wine I wanted.

Of course, if it's in the box of Merlot/Pinot/Syrah/Ripple it isn't a problem. :)

I had room behind the slide out drawer in the dinette so epoxied together 6" lengths of square plastic post covers to make a pattern of 12 pockets. When i need a bottle I remove the seat and get the wine.

Traveling with wine isn't easy to do! The problem we have is temperature since I'm in the southwest. The inside of our trailer while traveling can easily hit over 100F. We often put our wine into foam boxes and keep in the air conditioned truck while driving. If we're out of room we'll put the wine into an ice chest but that means having to let the red wines come up to room temp once we're at camp.

That is one of the funniest tag lines I have seen in a LONG time!! Priceless, was laughing so hard, thought I was going to lose my glass of wine!!

We are just now heading down the WA and OR coast to our AZ winter home. We have 5 cases of wine from our favorite winery in the Yakima valley. The bottles are all upside down under the dinette bench seats. We do have about 12 bottles lying in those plastic and foam cutout things that they use for shipping wine. Works well for us. Just hope we don't hit any rough roads and shake them up too much!!
