WAlmarts with wine?

Check with WALGREENS. Southern Point Wine is made by the same vendor.

Walmart in Davenport, Iowa, has wine (I-74 off I-80) but there's a state bottle deposit.

Possible Alternatives:
Aldi: Winking Owl Shiraz.
Trader Joe's: Charles Shaw a/k/a Two-Buck Chuck
(both about $3).

Why not just buy enough at the start to get you through to the end?

Most states that allow grocery stores to carry wine Walmart sells wine. Some states have very strict laws. Only allow wine in liquor stores. Some states control which brands can even come into their state. Some states you have to buy from state liquor stores. I'm sure AZ, CA, NV are some the easy states. Some towns in Utah are dry. No liquor is sold. Stock up when you can.

Just about everywhere where it's legal to buy wine in grocery stores, discount stores, will have a selection of inexpensive wines. Kroger, Publix, Trader Joe's just to name three.

I thought all Walmarts have wine, your guess is as good as mine where to find out if they have the specific wine you are looking for. I know in our travels we have specific wines we enjoy and have found no real consistency from the various Walmarts along the way, some have them and some don't. We have Walmarts just a few miles apart and even they don't stock all the same food items let alone adult beverages. No problem finding wines in the AZ/NM Walmarts as long as there is some flexibility in your choices.

I have seen Oakleaf wine at every Walmart that I have visited the wine section. I think ones that do not sell it are the exception, except those of course that are not allowed to sell alcohol at all. It was, and may still be, an exclusive Walmart brand.

Maybe the OPs DH should try "Wine-in-a-Box"

Tennessee has not allowed wine to be sold in grocery stores, but they voted on it last year and it passed. Now, only certain ones can sell it and the # in each county is limited.

Makes no sense to me, but that is the way it is.

Virginia sells wine at most grocery stores, but they must be licensed (state gets their cut). Our Walmart does have Oakleaf.
