Why not paint tires for UV protection??
1.
People use house paint on old tires when they use them as planters--and it sticks well for years and years.
2. House paint is proven to give long-lasting outdoor protection (on your house).
3. Water-based latex paint will not harm the tires.
I think white would be the most effective choice--since it will keep the tires cooler. But I will porbably do black to match the tires so my wife is OK with it (or doesn't notice it). Also, you won't be able to tell if it flakes off.
I can't find a reasonable reason not to. Can you?
