Window fan (s)?

Been spending a few nights in the new TT before the honeymoon feeling things out. My Fiancé's 8 year old on the dinette sleeper in the rear of the trailer and my fiancé and I in the bed in the front of the trailer with the dividing curtain drawn. It was just warm enough in the bedroom that a window fan would be a great addition. Wish we had a vent fan in the bedroom, but we don't. With the kid in the trailer, we try to keep the dividing curtain pulled as she's watching her tv and we are watching ours and I'd have to freeze her out to crank up the ac. Just not very friendly of a setup ventilation wise.

I'd really like some kind of fan in one of the windows for ventilation. I'm thinking a thin piece of plywood cut to fit the window opening with a flush mount fan installed into it. The windows are approximately 32" x 24". Any other ideas?

I was more concerned about the roof warranty. A roof vent would be fantastic. I can almost bet that keystone wants the dealer to install it. They wanted $500 for an electrical outlet. I can't imagine a roof vent. I could diy it, if I can keep my warranty.

Forget the RV dealerships. They are not the only ones that can work on an RV.They are the ones that like to charge 4 times more for work though!! :B

Call RV Mobile Repair. They will come out to your house if that is where your RV is parked. If you are in a CG ask the CG owner who they use for their Mobile Repair.

Waaaay cheaper. No dropping off and waiting 2 weeks, Done right on the spot same day, AND IMHO they are better qualified and do a better job.

Get that little lady some fresh air in her room and install a roof vent with or with out a fan! :C
  • I carry a regular box fan in mine and sit it on the counter in the bedroom in front of the emergency exit window. You could also just put the a/c in fan mode and move some air around with that.

  • Contact Keystone and ask them if the roof of your particular Summerland is framed for an optional roof vent over the bed - if there currently isn't one. If the framing is already there then adding a roof vent will be very easy.

You really need to consider buying a roof vent fan. They are not that expensive, very easy to install yourself and IMHO they are a MUST have in any RV. Add a roof vent cover and you can leave it open with fan on or not all the time.
